Since moving to Jamaica, Jan. 2009, we have encountered many obastacles, jumped many hurdles, had bouts of severe illness but also, experienced many open doors & victories! The Lord has truly proven His faithfulness to The Torber Trio!
Since April of this year, we have had 2 Team USA Missions Groups come.
The 1st was in April. Bro. Ron Jarman & Pastor David Holt. These 2 brothers went throughout the island preaching in crusades! We had tremendous services....very anointed & powerful!
Our 2nd Team USA Mission Group came in August. This was Sissy Arnold & Leslie Arnold. These ladies went into churches, village communites, an orphanage & other places, holding children's cruade services. We were able to bring blankets to New Hope Orphanage & distribute these to the boys & girls. We also did a puppet show for them. They LOVED these 2 ladies...& the ladies loved them as well!
There are no other words to add to this smiling face! He was SO VERY EXCITED about having his own blanket!
This is just one of the children with a blanket that a US church made & donated. We were invited to hold a children's crusade for a Moravian Anual Fellowship. We had over 200 children & had a tremendous time. Then, in one of the children's homes we ministered in, the director wants us to come & conduct their Sunday School. They also want us to do a 'puppet ministy techniques, teaching seminar'. We are so very thankful for the many open doors that are laid before us.
We currently have 2 "Vision Projects" that are in place.
We need the help of those who desire to be Vessels 4 Christ!
- Operation Give-A-Way - December 4-11 2009
We are needing a Team USA Missions Group to come.
We are currently collecting toys, personal items & home items that we will distribute to children's homes, orphanages & the needy.
2. Operation Nehemiah - June 2010
We are needing a Team USA Missions Group to come.
We are raising funds to "rebuild the walls" of the Old England Church which was destroyed in 2008 by Hurricane Dean. We will be laying blocks & structuring walls & a roof. We will also paint this church, once this is completed.
